See the gtk-engines-2.18.2-r1 which contains exactly the same fix (see ChangeLog and bug #283407), it build just fine here and works perfectly. I don't think it would be interesting to bump it just for some translations updates, imho... and 2.18.2-r1 is in stab phase...
