Description Fabio Erculiani (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-09-20 06:11:39 UTC
When using KDM4 as login manager to start GNOME, GNOME menu is not working due to /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/10-xdg-menu-gnome not being sourced/executed.

This happens because such scripts are not sourced by KDM Xsession script, like GDM one does.

Reproducible: Always

reavertm said this stuff had to be discussed with GNOME guys but we (both sides) weren't able to find better solutions to fix the issue.
That's why I didn't close it. Even if I am really happy to see this fix pushed to the tree, it might have been a side effect of having patched *9999 ebuilds in overlay. So, maybe reavertm wants to have a final word here?

As I said, I'm happy to (at least) have fixed a real bug with the best solution we were able to wrap up.
