nam (Network AniMator) is a tcl/tk app to view network simulation. It can be used by ns (for which I will provide ebuild soon) to show simulation. It depends on otcl and tclcl (bug number 28539 and 28540) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 17586 [details] ebuild for nam
Sorry. I don't have the capacity to deal with tcl and tk stuff anymore.
taking this for ns, since I need it for a course.
Christophe: question, does your 'nam' work correctly? on the compiled version i'm testing before commiting, i don't get any response from the menus or anything. (this is the latest version of nam and everything).
I have no problem with the menu in nam and I'm able to launch simple ns simulation (like the one found at http://nile.wpi.edu/NS/). I haven't investigate a lot this program since I might have used it for a project for school, and it appeared it can't fullfill all my need (or I didn't investigate enough to find how it could ;-) ). Maybe you could use the ns all-in-one source on the ns website (http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/ns-build.html#allinone) to see if it works well on your setup.
ah, upstream fixed it in their new release (nam-1.10, ns-2.27) which i've put into the tree now. commited to tree.
