Expected Results:
missing "psb_reg.h" and "psb_drm.h" exist in the original source.

after i take those 2 file from the original sources and put it in /var/tmp/portage/x11-drivers/xf86-video-psb-0.31.0_p11/work/xserver-xorg-video-psb-0.31.0/src/ compiling was ok, but X crashed.

Uhm. What ebuild are you using?

Do you by chance have a copy of them in an overlay so the in-tree ebuilds are shadowed by them? That error shouldn't be possible with the ebuilds that I committed ...

Doesn't look like it no. I did a search on xf86-video-psb, only 1 ebuild was found, listed underneath, which looks like the correct one:

# ls -al /usr/portage/x11-drivers/xf86-video-psb/

I have the same problem.

It looks like x11-libs/libdrm-poulsbo isn't installing the psb headers for xf86-video-psb.

#equery files libdrm-poulsbo
* Contents of x11-libs/libdrm-poulsbo-2.3.0_p9
/etc
/etc/env.d
/etc/env.d/02psb

/usr/lib/psb/libdrm.la
/usr/lib/psb/libdrm.so
/usr/lib/psb/libdrm.so.2
/usr/lib/psb/libdrm.so.2.3.0
/usr/lib/psb/pkgconfig

** This is a fresh install with fresh portage tree. No overlays are in use. **

And, BTW. In order to get the libdrm-poulsbo headers to install to /usr/inclide/psb without conflicting with libdrm, I had to change the econf line
- econf --libdir=/usr/lib/psb
+ econf --libdir=/usr/lib/psb --includedir=/usr/include/psb

Comment 9 Zac Medico gentoo-dev 2009-10-05 08:07:37 UTC
This should be fixed in libdrm-poulsbo-2.3.0_p9-r1. I added this to src_install:

  doins "${WORKDIR}"/*.h

THNX, it works.
