Hi,

If at all possible could you please keyword hdf5-1.8.3-r1
on your respective arches. We'll need it for the upcoming
netcdf-4.

Thanks,
Markus

Keyworded on alpha. Passes all tests.
Comment 2 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-10-05 16:52:43 UTC
Need to have a look at this more carefully because for some reason it wants to use the intel compiler on ia64 :/

any news?
Comment 4 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-11-26 16:02:35 UTC
Haven't had time to look at it, and i have other bugs to do.

If you want to have a look at it yourself, just send me your ssh pubkey and i can give you access to an ia64 box.

temporary workaround

providing configure with FC var helps.

HDF5-1.8.4 compiles with USE="fortran zip" on IA64

Remaining problems: H5detect is not compiled with -O0 which leads to dt_arith test failing (well known issue see http://www.hdfgroup.org/ftp/HDF5/current/src/hdf5-1.8.4-RELEASE.txt). Using relevant part of hdf5-1.8.3-gnutools.patch seems not to work anymore, because autotools are mysteriously applying CFLAGS just after H5detect_CFLAGS and -O2 cancels out -O0. This problem applies to all arches (at least I've hit it on IA64 and AMD64)
Comment 6 Sébastien Fabbro (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-03 21:13:37 UTC
Done, thanks to Kacper.
