Description Enrico Tagliavini 2009-09-13 17:03:20 UTC
with the new net-libs/libmsn-4.0_beta8 kopete crash at startup when using a wlm account

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update to libmsn-4.0_beta8
2. Add a wlm account in kopete if none is preset (it should crash here but if not see 3.)
3. restart kopete

Actual Results:
crash with the folowing error

*** glibc detected *** kopete: corrupted double-linked list: 0x0000000001429370 ***

downgrading to libmsn-4.0_beta5 can be a workaround
Comment 1 Enrico Tagliavini 2009-09-13 17:07:17 UTC
I've posted this bug here (even if i think it is upstream stuff likely) couse libmsn-0.4_beta5 was removed from portage. i suggest to bring back it to let kopete wlm users a workaround

the kopete backtrace

here it is the full backtrace
Comment 3 Enrico Tagliavini 2009-09-14 01:27:57 UTC
btw upstream seems to be aware of this and similar crash all coused by libmsn-4.0 beta 7 and greater

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206322

May be is it the case to prevent kopete o be installed with libmsn beta 7 and greater if the wlm use flag is specified?
Comment 4 Enrico Tagliavini 2009-09-15 14:00:01 UTC
Since libmsn-4.0_beta6 is back in portage tree now i think this can be considered fixed. Cheers :D
