erec is a shared recording server.
Programs wishing to record can popen erec, and erec takes care that nobody gets
a busy-signal, sharing the data to all clients.

Combined with ecat (part of streamixer package) you can do this:
  ssh oktober 'erec -2r44100'|ecat
to transfer sound from one computer to another.

your header for this ebuild and your streamixer ebuild does not contain the gentoo copyright notice, and as such you still retain intellectual property rights of these ebuilds.  In order to be included in portage, you must turn over the copyright to gentoo (which can be done automatically by including that header in your ebuild).  Do you want to turn over the copyright for these two ebuilds to gentoo?
