(Sorry, I don't see a way to put Gentoo Foundation in the component, etc)

Historically, the embedded team works with vendors to build up the partner's product line and enjoys the benefit of free hardware. I have discussed this possibility with the team and there has not been opportunities for the past 2-3 months. I am not interested in building the vendor's line, my contributions will be for Gentoo Linux and not for the vendor.

To be clear, this will not be infra hardware. Attached is the funding request form.

Set discussion for next board meeting on Sept. 13th.

Looks good to me.

To follow up on a few points:

- Luca (lu_zero) does have a proto board already. It is "collecting dust" because of real life. In discussion with him, "another" board would not get wasted because there would be even more collaboration.
- Pending requests from http://powerdeveloper.org include armin76 ("pending") and steev (even lower on the food chain). No one is expecting these requests to be fulfilled at this time.

As for the commitments on my side. (It was suggested 1 blog post per week). It is one of my goals to increase PR for Gentoo in this area. I can't commit to 1 blog post per week for 6 months, simply because I think that is too much for me. I can surely commit to writing about every accomplishment that I (or the embedded team) make. *If* there is plenty of content to write about, you can expect at least 2-3 posts per month syndicated to planet.g.o and planet.g.o/universe. (More frequent at first when the board arrives)

Addendum to the request form: There are no armv7 builds now for Gentoo, with this board we would work on that. armin76 will be a big player in this regard.

Thanks.

The trustees have approved this project. Jeremy, please go forward with your purchase and the board will reimburse you when we receive the receipt.

Also, on the subject of blogs, your agreement to produce 2 to 3 posts per month is great! I look forward to reading them.

We will leave this bug open until the reimbursement process is complete.

Good Luck!

Thanks.

Hardware is ordered. I will discuss with Josh (tsunam) with the details of reimbursement once I get a receipt/Bill of Sale. Total was around $266 (~16 for shipping). Order is expected to be fulfilled within 3 weeks at the longest (according to the website).

Again, thanks for the support. :)

Attached is the invoice with my address removed. Sorry for the delay, scanner issues. =/

Joshua (tsunam) said that paypal would be the preferred method for transfer. That will work for me, let me know to whom I should send my paypal address to. I don't want it public on this medium. Thanks.
