The mirror located at "http://open-systems.ufl.edu/mirrors/gentoo" is only available while using an internal ufl.edu IP address, and should be marked as such. Any other external users will receive a "Forbidden" error message. I would suggest changing the text from "Open Systems at University of Florida (http)" to "Open Systems at University of Florida [Only from valid ufl.edu IP ranges] (http)" Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Exit ufl.edu network 2. Try and access http://open-systems.ufl.edu/mirrors/gentoo 3. A easy workaround is to choose another mirror.
First I would suggest to talk to the ufl.edu admin to see if this was intentional.
I already did that. Thanks Nick. We will need to pull this mirror from the public list and limit their access because they are not much help to the community anymore =/
Removed from ACSs, not in DNS, & removed from mirrors listing. No contact on file.
