I somehow doubt Olivier wants to stabilize this, because there's farsight2 now.
Assigning to maintainer and author of farsight (Olivier) to quickly decide.

Farsight1 never worked really well on the desktop, and fs2 is going stable soonish anyway (with pidgin and empathy 2.26).
