recently stabilized mutt-1.5.20-r4 fails with:

Looks like a standard parallel make/ccache problem.
Clean the cache and try again.

So it could it have been caused by me trying to emerge two things at once? Yeah I probably did that. I didn't know such a thing would cause problems but thanks for pointing that out. No wonder I couldn't find any bugs with the same problem as me. I turned off the portage cache because just clearing ccache didn't fix it, and then there were a bunch of file collisions, probably from previous attempts to install it, and now its good.
