test instructions:
if you have the hardware, try out ipmitool, otherwise compile-only.

I can say 100% that ipmitool works on amd64, as I use it for work.

It DOES work with the openipmi-1 library, but the -2 library adds more hardware support, and thus is here as well for stabilization.
