dev-texlive/texlive-latex-2008-r1 fails while building the formats. The error says that fmtutils does not find the format directories in the working one at /var. (Should't they be created on the fly?) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Follow instructions for unmerging texlive 2007 in the guide ad hoc. 2. emerge -f texlive 3. emerge texlive Actual Results: It compiles until a certain point, then crashes, not compiling the remaining items. Expected Results: To compile texlive until the end. I will attach the output from the console, the build.log and the environment.
