Comment 2 Steven Parker 2009-08-31 01:20:31 UTC
I believe I have corrected the issue by unmasking and upgrading to baselayout-2.1.6. It seems that baselayout-2.1.5 does not create the /dev/std* links that are required, and ati-drivers (as well as other packages) needs these.
Comment 3 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-31 11:42:43 UTC
where did you get such version of baselayout. The newest i have is 2.0.1
Comment 4 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-09-03 10:34:41 UTC
Is the kernel you are compiling it under already configured?
Comment 5 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-12-17 12:35:46 UTC
As per above comments.
