While emerging libXt 1.0.6 the following error appeared in the configure step:

configure:2605: error: configure built with too old of a version of xorg-macros.m4 - requires version 1.1.0 or newer

I had util-macros-1.1.6-r1 installed...
emerging util-macros-1.2.2 fixed this.

Seems like you're missing the i915 kernel driver. Please build it and load it before Xorg starts.

That should solve your issues.
