When using sys-apps/iproute2 2.6.28 on sys-kernel/vanilla-sources-2.6.30.4 it fails with:
falcon-cl4 ~ # ip rule list
RTNETLINK answers: Operation not supported
Dump terminated

On 2.6.29.x all works perfectly.
