carpaski asked me to post this: The first line '!!! INVALID...' is given upon ANY emerge (ie: rsync, --pretend xxx, etc) This may or may not be related to other errors i am having with packages not wanting to emerge (db, mozilla-firebed [says it emerges, but does not install at all], not to mention my system keeps wanting to update to old version of some programs [imlib2,pyxml]) I do not know what is trying to use these ACCEPT_KEYWORDS. Its not make.conf or make.globals, and i have not given emerge this command. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge anything 2. 3. Actual Results: see above Expected Results: not thrown the ACCEPT_KEYWORDS error cas root # emerge -v info !!! Could you please quote the exact error/warning message ?
review your /usr/portage/profiles/arch.list it should contain a list of all valid KEYWORDS if it's blank, `emerge sync` ... if that doesnt fix it, sync with a different server ... if that doesnt fix it, nuke your portage dir and sync fresh
