When trying to start xfce using the startxfce4 script, I get the following error: /usr/bin/xfce4-session: error while loading shared libraries:libxfcegui4.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. the session manager is very very buggy I would suggest that you don't use it. I don't include it in the actuall builds its just in portage for very brave souls. the only thing I can think of is to reemerge libxfcegui4 and the session manager if you still want to use it.
xfce4 RC3 runs with the sample xinitrc file in /etc/xfce4/xinitrc
xfce4-session is incompatible with >=xfce4-rc3. you have to wait for an update. i cloud start the session manager but it won't let you control the sessions anymore (end xfce4 correctly ...)
I'm going to mask the session manager tonite when I commit RC4
masked now
