Hello! I wanted to use the iptables ULOG target, I choose forwarding in the kernel echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward but I ran into these error messages. Kernel unaligned access at TPC[1029e35c] ipt_ulog_packet+0x214/0x3fc [ipt_ULOG] Kernel unaligned access at TPC[1029e36c] ipt_ulog_packet+0x224/0x3fc [ipt_ULOG] Kernel unaligned access at TPC[1029e374] ipt_ulog_packet+0x22c/0x3fc [ipt_ULOG] Reproducible: Always

Please post your `emerge --info' in a comment, attach the kernel config and perhaps some more dmesg output.

Try with vanilla-sources, but if its a kernel problem we can't really do much. Probably its fixed on new versions, can you check?
(In reply to comment #5) > Try with vanilla-sources, but if its a kernel problem we can't really do much. > Probably its fixed on new versions, can you check? > First of all, ipt_ULOG has been obsoleted by "nfnetlink_log", so there are not many things that we can do about it (like, pushing it upstream.). But you may be interested in this thread: http://www.mail-archive.com/sparclinux@vger.kernel.org/msg00778.html
I'll also mark this bug as INVALID, since it deals with an obsolete kernel part. I'd recommend you to start using "nfnetlink_log" (it will also deal with your weird error messages problem :) ).
