Description Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-13 13:28:54 UTC
It needs <xorg-server-1.4 which is going to die.
Also I spoke with donnie and he agreed that normal evdev should workie with touchpad nowdays.

It was masked on 6.8. so

I only just discovered this bug, after trying to restore Gentoo to my Samsung Q1, and finding the package gone from the repo.

There's a new 0.8.8 driver available, which appears to work with x.org 1.6 on Debian; I'm trying to get this going on my Samsung Q1, including some Ubuntu HAL patches, and the "drag" patch.
I tried to find info. on how to get eGalax drivers working with evdev, but the reports I've found seem to suggest it is unreliable, where evtouch is supposedly mostly reliable -- it works well for me under Debian, for example.
