When you go to http://bugs.gentoo.org, the Firefox quick-search field (the one activated with CTRL+K) indicates that Gentoo Bugzilla can be added to the list of search engines. However, when I enter a bug ID in that field, I get "zaroo boogs found".
Huh, I often use the nifty quick search box but didn't happen to notice that problem until you mentioned it. BTW I don't think the special "ALL" keyword works either in the quick search (for searching closed bugs as well as open); not sure whether these are limitations due to the quick search API or they can be fixed. Assigning to our friendly neighborhood bugzilla gurus.
I'm not sure what ctrl-K is doing for you, but in my firefox, it just goes to the quicksearch box, and that searches google only.

Closing. I guess this can't be done and it's that important anyway.
