Description Benjamin Peterson 2009-08-12 20:21:50 UTC
When SIP is being built, the ebuild looks for "Gentoo Python Wrapper" in /usr/bin/python. This will not be the case if eselect python has not been run.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Link /usr/bin/python to python2.6 or such
2. Try to install sip
3.

Actual Results:
die "/usr/bin/python is not a valid program"

Actually ebuilds of >=app-admin/eselect-python-20090801 automatically call `eselect python` during upgrading of app-admin/eselect-python. It should probably happen also when no version of app-admin/eselect-python was earlier installed.

This bug should be fixed now.
