app-admin/sudo-1.7.1-r1 fails to emerge because sudo-1.7.1.tar.gz is no longer in
ftp://ftp.sudo.ws/pub/sudo
It is now in ftp://ftp.sudo.ws/pub/sudo/OLD

It would be useful to include emerge --info (which has what mirror you are using and portage FEATURES). And even the error message.

With Gentoo, we have an extensive mirroring system to avoid just this issue. I assume you are using an outdated mirror, which is not good for the end user. The distfile is properly mirrored at: distfiles.gentoo.org/distfiles/sudo-1.7.1.tar.gz like it should be.

I'm going to resolve this as invalid, because of the Gentoo mirrors and upstream changes the locations often. We could be chasing SRC_URI's all day.
