Hi! I allways use alltray to dock Mozilla Thunderbird in the system tray. It works perfect in my old desktop, XFCE. But now, I'm using LXDE and, when I close thunderbird window the tab in "task bar" dissapear. This is ok, but, when I open another window the thinderbird tab appears again. Seems like it's hidden. I have to have right click over the thunderbird tab and select "Close window" option, and works only if the thunderbird icon is minimized or closed (prevously). I have put the example of thunderbird, but the problem is not with thunderbird. The problem is with alltray and occurs with all applications (not only thunderbird).
Doesn't LXDE come with it's own system tray? Alltray is a _hack_.

As far as I know alltray does not support lxde and lxde has its own tray.
alltray is not a tray. alltray is an application to dock any app into system tray.
x11-misc/alltray-0.74 is in portage since November 2009, and there are reports this version is working fine with lxde-base/lxpanel
