I attach an ebuild+patch which fixes the issue on gentoo until it is fixed upstream.

Well, developmental releases don't get Gentoo-based support -- only ebuild bugs are valid for overlay, rest are tracked upstream :)

Since this will be in 1.3.4, I say RESO LATER..
