Description Fabio Erculiani (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-03 15:50:03 UTC
This is against QA, breaks cache and Portage does not completely understand SLOTs that way. Pleeeease pleease fix ;)

Reproducible: Always

not a bug
Comment 2 Fabio Erculiani (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-14 10:03:05 UTC
It's clearly a bug and USE="multislot" implementation is broken from PM POV.
I'll hopefully submit a patch when I'll be back from vacation.

dont use the flag if you dont like it
Comment 4 Fabio Erculiani (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-08-15 07:34:50 UTC
It is not a matter of liking. It is a matter of PMs, it's not completely working, breaks cache and is against QA.
I ask the maintainer to find an alternative, non-disruptive solution or fix what Portage fails to determine (SLOT).

Thanks,

if you actually want to get something accomplished, help with Bug 174407. i'm not changing any of the USE=multislot packages as none of them cause problems.
