I have an HP PSC 2175 printer/scanner. Since the upgrade to hplip 2.8.* / 3.9* versions I cannot use the scanner anymore.



The problem is mentioned in

As a workaround I have installed the 2.7.12-r1 ebuild from http://62.3.120.141/Gentoo/usr/portage/net-print/hplip/

An old version of hplib should be available in the gentoo portage, until the problem is fixed by HP.

net-print/hplip-2.8.6b seems to work again.
