Hello. Please find attached two new ebuilds for xchm and it's depedency chmlib. This is my first attempt at ebuilding, so lets hope.... xchm is a viewer for Microsoft's CHM format help files, which I find useful. (Found at http://xchm.sourceforge.net/#Downloads ) Both packages are licensed under the GPL, but I did not consult the developers of xchm or chmlib to determine if the creation of this ebuild is suitable. Please let me know if I should request their permission, otherwise I was planning on sending an email out of courtesy should this ebuild process be fruitful. I have categorised these packages under app-misc/ although there may be a more appropriate location to put them in. I Other things of note: 1. The ebuilds currently have SRC_URI set to a mirror in Minnesota. I do not currently know the best way to handle or code sourceforge mirrors into an ebuild. Advise or leave as it. 2. I've bundled the xchm html documentation that came in a separate tarball. It also includes reference manuals that can be included providing latex is installed, which would make it necessary to add this to a new ebuild. Do you think this is necessary? Thanks again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Created attachment 17074 [details] ebuild for xchm. Allows viewing of .CHM files. I had created a Changelog, Manifest, and metadata.xml file as well. Am I to include these as well?

Comment on attachment 17072 [details] xchm ebuild files Ignore. I should not have tried to attach a tbz2 file anyway.
Comment on attachment 17073 [details] xchm ebuild files Ignore. Another tbz2 file. Dupes here because an error was continually reported after hitting the 'Submit' button.
Comment on attachment 17074 [details] ebuild for xchm. Allows viewing of .CHM files. Never mind.
Comment on attachment 17075 [details] ebuild for xchm Allows viewing of .chm files.

Created attachment 17082 [details] ebuild for xchm Forgot the license files in the build, changed src_uri to something saner. It all works though :-)
xchm-0.8 was released on September 03, 2003. The above ebuild should work as well, and I have created a tar.bz2 with ebuilds for xchm and chmlib. It can be found at http://placebo.hpi.uni-potsdam.de/~trieloff/xchm-0.8.tar.bz2
