Thanks for reporting, I could not reproduce with english version of mozilla-firefox-bin-3.5.1, so likely the issue is either the language settings or its something with a plugin you have installed. If you have no plugins installed that would be useful information I'd think.
I was having this for an English version of firefox. The Edit->Preferences was just showing up as a blank grey box and any interface using the same selector style was affected. If gtk-engines-qtcurve-0.59.7 is merged with the mozilla USE flag it maintains a CSS URL import line to userChrome.css for the profile called "default" and firefox reports an error for '-moz-box-pack' Latest version, gtk-engines-qtcurve-0.67.0, merged with firefox3 USE flag seems to work correctly.

Re-assigning to gtk-engines-qtcurve maintainer..
Those @import lines in userChrome.css were added by QtCurve when using the firefox3 and/or mozilla useflags. You can remove those lines by hand, and use gtk-engines-qtcurve-0.67.0 with Firefox 3.5. You may want to disable both firefox3 and mozilla useflags. Having done that, I can't reproduce the bug.
No need for mozilla to stay on this bug, it is already assigned to appropriate person.
0.68.1 is in the process of being marked stable. Please reopen this bug if the problem reappears with >=0.68.1.
