Thanks for reporting, I could not reproduce with english version of mozilla-firefox-bin-3.5.1, so likely the issue is either the language settings or its something with a plugin you have installed. If you have no plugins installed that would be useful information I'd think.

I was having this for an English version of firefox. The Edit->Preferences was just showing up as a blank grey box and any interface using the same selector style was affected.

If gtk-engines-qtcurve-0.59.7 is merged with the mozilla USE flag it maintains a CSS URL import line to userChrome.css for the profile called "default" and firefox reports an error for '-moz-box-pack'

Latest version, gtk-engines-qtcurve-0.67.0, merged with firefox3 USE flag seems to work correctly.

It didn't fix it for me, using English version. I emerged gtk-engines-qtcurve with with both mozilla and firefox3 flags, then with just the firefox3 flag. Under both, I am getting the empty preferences window.

Seem to have fixed it. In my userChrome.css, I found these lines:

@import url("file:///usr/share/themes/QtCurve/mozilla/QtCurve-KDEButtonOrder.css"); /* Added by QtCurve -- do not remove */
@import url("file:///usr/share/themes/QtCurve/mozilla/QtCurve.css"); /* Added by QtCurve -- do not remove */

I commented them out and my preferences window is back. Also, all of Firefox looks a little bit better.

Forgot to mention, 0.59.7 readds the import line everytime I removed it. Moving to latest version allows me to remove it.

Re-assigning to gtk-engines-qtcurve maintainer..
Comment 7 Ben de Groot (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-07-29 11:39:14 UTC
Those @import lines in userChrome.css were added by QtCurve when using the firefox3 and/or mozilla useflags. You can remove those lines by hand, and use gtk-engines-qtcurve-0.67.0 with Firefox 3.5. You may want to disable both firefox3 and mozilla useflags. Having done that, I can't reproduce the bug.
Comment 8 Jory A. Pratt gentoo-dev 2009-08-01 01:39:53 UTC
No need for mozilla to stay on this bug, it is already assigned to appropriate person.
Comment 9 Ben de Groot (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-10-21 22:52:52 UTC
0.68.1 is in the process of being marked stable. Please reopen this bug if the problem reappears with >=0.68.1.
