Description Nico Schlömer 2009-07-26 18:11:50 UTC
Hi,

I noticed a strange thing about the menu icons of KDE4: All programs which are not KDE-natives have in fact two icons in the menu. One like it is supposed to be (e.g., "Mozilla Firefox" with the Firefox icon), the other one out of shape (e.g., "mozilla-firefox 3.5", "mozilla-firefox 3.5.desktop", with a generic icon).

They do not appear in the usual menu, but only if you *search* for them using the KDE start menu search bar.

Cheers,
Nico

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for reporting this issue. Could you provide a little more info:
* version of kde4 you are using
* output of 'emerge --info'

Hi,

I'm on KDE 4.2.4, and `emerge --info` yields

Searching for Thunderbird in the KDE menu

A screenshot illustrating the problem.
Comment 4 Nico Schlömer 2009-08-05 11:55:10 UTC
With the upgrade to KDE 4.3, this odd behavior is gone.

Marking as WORKSFORME.
