Description Christopher Antila 2009-07-26 05:10:29 UTC
Regardless of what I select in the Configure dialogue, the collection always defaults to ~/Music. I have tested whether it is / or /home or /home/~, but it is certainly only ~/Music. This may or may not be related, but ~/Music is a softlink from my home directory (ext4) to a folder on another partition (HFS+, no journalling).

Also, after changing the folders to be scanned, Amarok still scans all of ~/Music (not just some sub-folders), and when I close the Configure dialogue, the changes are lost on re-opening it.

Willing to provide any additional information requested.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.) Select a few sub-folders of ~/Music for the Collection
2.) Let Amarok re-scan the collection
3.) Change the subfolders selected
4.) Let Amarok re-scan the collection

Actual Results:
Amarok's collection includes files from all subfolders of ~/Music. When the subfolders are changed and the collection re-scanned, Amarok uses all subfolders again. When I return to the list of folders to scan, Amarok displays those selected the first time.

Expected Results:
Amarok should scan and include files from only the folders which I select. When I change the folders, Amarok should include files in new folders, and exclude files in removed folders.

My sincerest apologies. As with bug 279121, I was able to solve this with revdep-rebuild. I can't imagine how xine-libs is involved in this, but apparently it was.
