Amarok will not play m4a files, or successfully edit the metadata (two separate issues?) It happens regardless of whether the file is in the Collection or not. It seems like Amarok will play the file, but somehow it will go through a 20-minute file in 4 seconds. I cannot hear any sound. I'm using the xine backend for phonon, since I cannot for the life of me install gstreamer. The issue may be related to bug 261927, but my files were encoded by iTunes on Mac OS X, and are "Apple Lossless." Always willing to provide more information. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.) Open amarok 2.) Play an ".m4a" file Actual Results: The file doesn't play correctly. Expected Results: The file should play correctly. My sincerest apologies, but this is my fault! It was indeed a problem with xine-libs, but running revdep-rebuild has resolved the situation.
