ntfsprogs' ntfsck exits with code 16 (Usage or syntax error) when using the -a option ntfsck -a /dev/sda1 the init.d/checkfs-script uses the -a parameter for the filesystem-check and causes an error during the boot (asking for manual fixes). yes, ntfsck isnt complete enough to use. dont set the sixth field of your fstab to non-zero.
