Description Maxim Litnitskiy 2009-07-19 17:48:58 UTC
Installed latest (in portage) SeaMonkey 1.1.17 (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8.1.22) Gecko/20090719 SeaMonkey/1.1.17).

http://seamonkey.ilias.ca/browserfaq/Spellchecker says there is a built-in browser spell-checker in version 1.1. Really English spell checing works ok. When I select Languages -> Download more languages, and install russian pack, it is added into spell checking menu choice. But it does not underline bad words.

Can somebody advise ?

Reproducible: Always

The problem was that seamonkey installed plugin to /usr/lib64/seamonkey/dictionaries/ AS root, and ordinary user did not have read permission on it :-)
