Description Wyatt Epp 2009-07-14 03:01:44 UTC
GDC has a number of problems, so I'm nominating its USE on gcc for hard masking. The last release of GDC, 0.24 was almost two years ago according to the the project page[0] and their SVN repo hasn't had a commit since the end of January 2009. GDC developers are advocating its deprecation in favour of LDC.

Reproducible: Always

it isnt available in latest stable gcc, so it isnt really a problem

where exactly do you see the GDC developers telling people to use LDC ?

That's the impression I received from looking at their (rather sparse) mailing list archives, and I was told on IRC that the only remaining active developer abandoned it.

I don't see why we need to mask this. It should work perfectly fine with the old version of gcc we patch the support in for. Its not available in any new versions, and is not causing a problem.
