Withdrawing this bug. The author doesn't seem to work on it and it is not that useful yet.
This project seems to be in active development again (6 releases in 7 weeks) and is now at version 0.2.5. The project has moved to http://freehackers.org/~tnagy/kdissert/index.html, and has a freshmeat page at http://freshmeat.net/projects/kdissert/ It compiles cleanly and produces useful latex, ascii and pictorial output on a x86 stable gentoo system, using just the install files included in the source package, so please could the ebuild here be updated and considered for inclusion in portage? On the version I compiled by hand, everything seems to work stably. I don't have the time or knowledge to do this myself.
Created attachment 35404 [details] kdissert-0.2.5.ebuild o.k., reopening, low priority, please use the attched ebuild for now
attach && reopen doesn't work?

Since there's a bit more interest now and despite the Makefiles... ...committed. :)
Created attachment 54472 [details] ebuild for kdissert-0.3.8 Kissert is now at 0.3.8 I created an ebuild that depends on >=scons-0.96.1 ,but, as with many packages that use scons, there is a scons distribution provided in the tarball.
