I'm the author of tvtime, and gentoo users still seem to be using tvtime 0.9.8.2 even though tvtime 0.9.8.5 is the latest and has an ebuild made. I have been told on #gentoo that only the 0.9.8.2 ebuild is marked stable, and the 0.9.8.5 ebuild is marked testing. Can this be fixed? It is annoying to try and support an old version of my application for so many users. This unrelated bug was also mentioned on #gentoo: [10:53am] <ciaranm> vektor: should be '# $Header: $' , not '# $Header' , so that CVS recognises it Thanks, -Billy Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Let's squeeze that bug first :-)
Sometimes watching the bug tracker tells you about interesting programs... perhaps I should test tvtime, never heard of it before.
There is a new version of tvtime out now, see bug 27999. Ideally I would like to see version 0.9.9 marked as the latest stable version in gentoo as well. A bugfix release, likely version 0.9.9.1 or I may call it 0.9.10, will be out really soon. Is there maybe anything I can do to get an ebuild for that version marked as stable in gentoo? I don't know much about how gentoo works, I'd just like to make sure gentoo users of my software get the latest version.
Version 0.9.10-r1 is in portage. Please try it and report back on stability. I'd like to get it into stable arch soon.
