Check attached build log; I've fixed the make call to emake -j1, but we need an _open_ bug since this is worked around and _not_ fixed.

This package uses a pretty strange way of calling the compiler and linker, looks mostly unused, and possibly abandoned:

- Last upstream release: 2005-05-24.
- Added to Portage 11 Jun 2006, never updated.
- Strange use of ${D} in src_compile, allowing the compiled code to know about the installation staging path.
- Keyworded ~x86 only. Never moved to stable or keyworded for any other architecture.

It is a simple enough package that the Makefile could be fixed to be parallel safe, and probably easier to use too. I can post a replacement Makefile if anyone wants to save this package.

flameeyes: could you have the tinderbox build syslogread-0.92. i have just committed a fix - but would like to confirm that this actually works, before applying it to a number of other ebuilds affected by the same issue.

thanks.
kind regards
Thilo

Give me a second as I'm currently preparing to try 2.6.33_rc4 ;)

And just to be on the safe side, send me a direct email today so I won't forget :P

— this comment is also for me to remember ;)
