I do apologize if this gets entered twice. My browser crashed last time I entered this. I am adding a Gentoo sources mirror to the Notre Dame Linux Users Group FTP server (129.74.32.155) ftp.ndlug.nd.edu ftp://ftp.ndlug.nd.edu/pub/gentoo It currently is set to rsync off of www.ibiblio.org::rsync on a 4-hour basis, starting at midnight, local time (EST. Indiana doesn't do Daylight Savings). We support 7 concurrent connections from most IP addresses (Limits imposed by the management of our network engineering for bandwidth reasons). I2 hosts have ability for 25 concurrent connections, and there are unlimited local (campus) hosts. We have 100Mbit FDX to the campus backbone, and ND has multiple connections to the Internet (including I2)
Thanks for offering to set up a mirror. Unfortunately, 7 users is too low to become an official mirror. You can still mirror from ibiblio and use that as a local mirror. Thanks again.
