Seems field was removed in 2.6.30, see: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=99b76233803beab302123d243eea9e41149804f3 Above 2 patches should address this issue (untested).
ok, I'll test that patch and commit asap.
I believe the patches will fix the compile problems, but you'll get oopses or segfaults. Take a look at the qc-usb-messenger branch and you'll see a patch that deals with v4l file system operations API change. It's an easy fix. They apply everything to 2.6.30, but if you apply the v4l API fixes to 2.6.29 and above, you'll be working up through 2.6.31. Good luck, - Jim
Jim: You're correct on the oops/segfaults. I've incorporated the changes that were made in qc-usb-messenger (#279992), and it now compiles and runs fine on my AMD64 machine.

I also did some QA with this ebuild. It appears the module works well with v4l1 but ekiga can't get it in v4l2 mode. Might need some more work.
