The fetch works for me; could it have been a network error? If not, then please post your 'emerge --info' output and also 'emerge -pv subversion' output

kevin@localhost ~ $ emerge -pv subversion

You are running the testing version of subversion (unlike myself), which could be the difference between our results. Have you successfully checked out any other projects using your current svn?

No, can you give me a command to test?
Comment 6 Arfrever Frehtes Taifersar Arahesis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-07-14 18:57:26 UTC
IMHO it was a network problem.

But I can ping svn.openmoko.org

Checked out revision 5301.

You might try some other SVN ebuilds to verify this being a problem with the subversion package you have installed:

grep -Hr "inherit.*subversion" $(portageq envvar PORTDIR)
