Created attachment 17235 [details] The patch that fixes the fix ;) Hi, this is the factorial-fix.diff.bz2 fixed. You must save the file under the next location: /usr/portage/app-misc/rpc/files, overwriting the previous file. It worked for me. Bye!

This bug is not a duplicate of 19120. It fails yet and hasn't been solved. My first attachment fixes the problem. I have tried to emerge rpc today: >>> Unpacking source... >>> Unpacking rpc-0.97.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/rpc-0.97-r1/work >>> Source unpacked. * Applying rpc-0.97-factorial-fix.diff.bz2... * Failed Patch: rpc-0.97-factorial-fix.diff.bz2! * * Include in your bugreport the contents of: * * /var/tmp/portage/rpc-0.97-r1/temp/rpc-0.97-factorial-fix.diff.bz2-17343.out !!! Everybody try rpc-0.98. If it works out we can mark it stable and remove 0.97 from portage.
Before the arrival of "rpc-0.98", this version (rpc-0.97-r1) it will disappear soon of the portage tree. So I resign myself, I will use rpc-0.98. Thanks Rafael and Mr. Bones. :D
