Description Märt Bakhoff 2009-07-05 11:23:41 UTC
Using: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller
Kernel: gentoo-sources 2.6.30-r2 KMS i915

Upgraded xorg-server from 1.6.1.901-r4 to .902.
Now dri2 is broken, 3d acceleration has corruption and bad performance.

from Xorg.0.log diff (901-r4 to 902):
 (II) Module dri2: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
-	compiled for 1.6.1.901, module version = 1.0.0
+	compiled for 1.6.1.902, module version = 1.1.0
+(WW) intel(0): [DRI2] Version 1 API (broken front buffer rendering)

Just in case: I'm using 64bit nomultilib profile with gcc-4.4
Attaching emerge-info, screenshots and Xorg.0.log

Reproducible: Always

confirm - same with 1.6.1.902 on T400.

I wonder, is this related ? http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=276187

Mart, assignt the bug to x11@gentoo.org so that Remi could look into it.
Comment 8 Märt Bakhoff 2009-07-07 10:07:14 UTC
It seems that I don't have permission to do that

Reassigning
Comment 10 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-07-08 13:06:33 UTC
I've committed 1.6.2 which should fix the issue. Please test it.

Thanks

Not fixed for me - same errors. Rebuilding everything x11-* didn't work either.

Just to be sure and to avoid spamming the others, please open a new bug with :
 - emerge -pv libdrm xorg-server xf86-video-inte mesa
 - emerge --info
 - xorg.conf
 - Xorg.0.log

Thanks
Comment 13 aidar 2009-07-10 03:09:34 UTC
