Description Chris 2009-07-01 21:47:50 UTC
fontconfig is pulled in as a dependency for imagemagick, which I'm trying to install.

Everytime I try, I get:

I have synced and resynced my portage tree, and I have revdep-rebuilt -- everything is current and consistent.

I have tried re-emerging freetype with all use flags available -- still get same problem. Everything I have compiled is within the stable branch of portage. This is a brand-new install of gentoo on this box. There very, very few packages installed on it yet.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge fontconfig
2.
3.

Actual Results:
compiles for a few moments... then:

Does the package compile successfully after you disabled ccache?
Comment 2 Chris 2009-07-05 22:07:11 UTC
(In reply to comment #0)

It doesn't matter if ccache is enabled or not. It yields the same results. I have dropped all USE and FEATURE flags, it does the same thing.
Comment 3 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-07-13 04:15:52 UTC
what version of freetype?

what does this do?
readelf -s /usr/lib/libfreetype.so | grep FT_Select_Size

see the tail end of bug #238908, but unless you haven't synced in half a year i don't see how this could be the problem.
Comment 4 Chris 2009-07-13 19:29:09 UTC
Sorry, I no longer have access to this server, so I won't be able to proved anymore info on it. Project was on a tight dead-line, had to go with alternate solution.
Comment 5 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-07-18 05:07:03 UTC
okay, sorry we couldn't help you then.
Comment 6 Chris 2009-07-18 15:36:09 UTC
No worries!
