When building an i686-mingw32 toolchain, binutils fails with the above error. Thus far, I have tried 2.18-r4 and 2.19-r1 and both produce the same error. You may want to re-file this under binutils ebuild, but I thought it was right to post it under crossdev and let you guys decide that. multitarget most likely does not work with mingw targets. try again with USE=-multitarget.
no real point in supporting this setup. it'll get fixed upstream eventually.
