Description Steve Evans 2009-07-01 13:26:13 UTC
In Amarok 2.1.1 I have created a Dynamic playlist with a single Proportion value set to 100% of the Genre Reggae. The songs then added to the playlist are not of that genre. When I exit Amarok and then restart it the Genre value displayed in the dynamic playlist is 0, not Reggae.

Examining the file $KDEHOME/share/apps/amarok/dynamic.xml the contents for this playlist is:

  <playlist title="Reggae" >
    <bias type="global" >
      <weight value="1" />
      <query version="1.0" >
        <filters>
          <include field="genre" value="0" compare="greater" />
        </filters>
        <order value="random" />
      </query>
    </bias>
  </playlist>

Which also shows a "compare" value of "greater" which seems wrong, as it is not possible to set a genre match to "greater".

I have tried setting the Proportion to values other than 100% and get the same result.

However if I add a second Proportion value to the dynamic playlst to Reggae that is saved correctly.

Further experimentation using a different genre shows the same issue, so it appears that the first Proportion entry in a dynamic playlist of type Genre is not being saved correctly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a new dynamic playlist with one Proportion entry that matches a Genre
2.Populate the playlist
3.

Actual Results:
The dynamic playlist does not generate a playlist of the desired genre.

Expected Results:
The results of the dynamic playlist should be songs of the requested genre.
