'emerge info' please This always happens at the same place (aka it is reproducable) ? I can't see anything going wrong here.
Here is the emerge info: bash-2.05b$ su - \Password: kitty root # emerge info Portage 2.0.48-r5 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r1) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.22_pre2-gss i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200+ GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/3.1/share/config /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" USE="x86 oss apm avi crypt encode foomaticdb gif jpeg libg++ mad mikmod mmx mpeg ncurses nls pdflib png quicktime spell truetype xml2 xmms xv zlib gdbm berkdb slang readline arts tetex bonobo svga tcltk java sdl gpm tcpd pam libwww ssl perl python esd imlib oggvorbis qt motif opengl mozilla ldap cdr X kde cups dvd flash gphoto2 pda tiff usb xml scanner gtk gnome -alsa" COMPILER="gcc3" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O3 -march=athlon-xp -funroll-loops -fprefetch-loop-arrays -pipe" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -march=athlon-xp -funroll-loops -fprefetch-loop-arrays -pipe" ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" MAKEOPTS="-j2" AUTOCLEAN="yes" SYNC="rsync://rsync.us.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" FEATURES="sandbox ccache fixpackages" kitty root # Do not know if it is reprodouceable only tried to install once and that ended with error message I sent in.
hmm.. Wild guess, can you remove -fprefetch-loop-arrays and -funroll-loops then rebuild scrollkeeper + gconf2
Bug is not reproduceable. A second attempt to install was successful.
i hate those * sigh *
closing invalid is a better choice for non-reproducable errors.
