Any reason you're still using gcc-3.4.6 which is ancient?
Comment 2 Konstantin Agouros 2009-06-28 20:16:47 UTC
hmmm while this is in emerge --info:

# comhub ~ # gcc -v
Using built-in specs.
Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
Configured with: /export/netshare/portagetmp/portage/sys-devel/gcc-4.3.2-r3/work/gcc-4.3.2/configure --prefix=/usr --bindir=/usr/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-bin/4.3.2 --includedir=/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.3.2/include --datadir=/usr/share/gcc-data/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.3.2 --mandir=/usr/share/gcc-data/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.3.2/man --infodir=/usr/share/gcc-data/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.3.2/info --with-gxx-include-dir=/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.3.2/include/g++-v4 --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --build=i686-pc-linux-gnu --disable-altivec --disable-fixed-point --enable-nls --without-included-gettext --with-system-zlib --disable-checking --disable-werror --enable-secureplt --disable-multilib --enable-libmudflap --disable-libssp --enable-libgomp --disable-libgcj --with-arch=i686 --enable-languages=c,c++,treelang --enable-shared --enable-threads=posix --enable-__cxa_atexit --enable-clocale=gnu --with-bugurl=http://bugs.gentoo.org/ --with-pkgversion='Gentoo 4.3.2-r3 p1.6, pie-10.1.5'
Thread model: posix
gcc version 4.3.2 (Gentoo 4.3.2-r3 p1.6, pie-10.1.5)
Comment 3 Konstantin Agouros 2009-06-28 20:18:13 UTC
strangely enough gcc-config -l showed 3.4.6, setting the right one solved it, case closed
Comment 4 Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-06-28 20:20:40 UTC
So you can now compile dhcpcd successfully?
Comment 5 Konstantin Agouros 2009-06-28 20:43:06 UTC
yes
