It's a bashism in the configure file, I've fixed it upstream but I haven't released a new version, I probably should now.

I don't know a 'shell', but I remove from configure script all '<<<' && put cdtext.h from libcdio-0.80.tar.gz to /usr/include/cdio/  - and portage have emerged... :)
Comment 6 Denis I. Polukarov 2009-06-27 12:11:35 UTC
After correct configure script I've catch one more error:
In file included from ./lib/unieject.h:22,
                 from lib/eject.c:19:
/usr/include/cdio/cdio.h:80:25: error: cdio/cdtext.h: No such file or directory

although libcdio have been emerged.
Comment 7 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-06-27 12:18:24 UTC
I'm going to make a 5.4 release that fixes this and a few more problems, so feel free to stand by for today.
Comment 8 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-06-27 13:27:07 UTC
Actually it went to be version 6 (I forgot I changed popt -> glib along the way), but it's in tree now and this should be fixed.
