compiling amarok 2.1 drives to crash, also if I try to change USE flags (ie, I recompile after use flag cdaudio has been added, so I try to recompile left out this flag) or to set -fPIC compiling mysql, as suggested on the web. amarok 2.0.* compiles fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. echo "media-sound/amarok:4" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords 2. echo ">=dev-db/mysql-5.0.76-r1" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords 3. echo "media-sound/amarok cdaudio" >> /etc/portage/package.use 4. echo "dev-db/mysql embedded" >> /etc/portage/package.use 5. emerge amarok Actual Results: amarok 2.1 won't compile. Expected Results: amarok 2.1 has been compiled. Created attachment 195768 [details] build.log here the build.log
additional information: I'm using kde:4.2 and qt 4.5 from portage
1st: equery uses glibc 2nd: Dont change the fpic useflag, we fixed the issue already.
~$ equery uses glibc [ Searching for packages matching glibc... ] [ Colour Code : set unset ] [ Legend : Left column (U) - USE flags from make.conf ] [ : Right column (I) - USE flags packages was installed with ] [ Found these USE variables for sys-libs/glibc-2.8_p20080602-r1 ] U I - - crosscompile_opts_headers-only : Build the toolchain against cross-headers only. - - debug : Enable extra debug codepaths, like asserts and extra output. If you want to get meaningful backtraces see http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/backtraces.xml - - gd : Adds support for media-libs/gd (to generate graphics on the fly) - - glibc-omitfp : Configure glibc with --enable-omitfp which lets the build system determine when it is safe to use -fomit-frame-pointer - - hardened : activate default security enhancements for toolchain (gcc, glibc, binutils) - - multilib : On 64bit systems, if you want to be able to compile 32bit and 64bit binaries + + nls : Adds Native Language Support (using gettext - GNU locale utilities) - - profile : Adds support for software performance analysis (will likely vary from ebuild to ebuild) - - selinux : !!internal use only!! Security Enhanced Linux support, this must be set by the selinux profile or breakage will occur - - vanilla : Do not add extra patches which change default behaviour; DO NOT USE THIS ON A GLOBAL SCALE as the severity of the meaning changes drastically ~ $
update: amarok-2.1.1 compiles fines.
then it is fixed, enjoy
